Bake 8 to 10 minutes at 350F, or until edges begin to brown. I use the same dough for Easter cookies.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter, softned
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1. Combine butter, suggars and egg yolk. Add dry ingredients; mix well. Cover; chill until firm - about 4 hours - or overnight.
2. Roll dough on floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Remove to wire racks; cool completely before decorating
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
